**Temporary Finance Assistant based in Newbury**

**Need to be a car driver**

**£13:84 per hour with hours to suit you Approx 25 hours per week.**

**Full time 3 days, part time 5 days or flexible around school hours**

**Interim temp role with a permanent member of staff joining the company on 17 October so you need to be available from now until 17 October.**

Post: Finance Assistant

Responsible to: Finance Director

Working closely with the Finance Director and budget holders you will assist with the financial and management accounting, providing accurate and timely information.

You will be working in a small team and must be capable, flexible and able to work under your own initiative.
- **Managing records and receipts**:

- **Reconciling daily transactions**:

- **Processing Purchase & Sales invoices**:

- **Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes**

Key skills/ experience
- **In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.**:

- **Excellent analytical and time management skills.**:

- **Strong attention to detail.**:

- **Excellent written and verbal communication skills.**:

- **Computer literate with a good knowledge and experience of accounts software**:

- **Experience of working in a finance department in a similar role**:

- **Excellent understanding of book-keeping**:

- **Excellent accuracy skills.**:

- **Excellent understanding of VAT rules**:

- **Intermediate/ advanced knowledge of MS Office Applications**:

- **Understanding of Office 365**

Principal Duties

Weekly
- **Weekly banking**:

- **Weekly recording and counting of Front Of House and Restaurant takings ( Daily Banking Sheet)**:

- **Maintenance and reconciliation of Sales and Purchase Ledger transactions**:

- **Weekly petty cash accounting and reconciliation, inputting returns & replenishing floats**:

- **Maintenance of change requirement for Front Of House and the Restaurant**

Daily
- **Processing sales and purchase invoices**:

- **Daily processing of bank transactions**:

- **Collection of Front of House Cash takings**:

- **Reconciling Front of House Card takings to Clover**:

- **Reconciling Box Office Card takings to Sagepay**

Monthly
- **Monthly reconciliation of control accounts and credit card transactions**:

- **Fixed Asset Register - annually update for additions, disposals, depreciation**

General
- **Participate in learning and development activities that develop personal effectiveness and assist in improving performance in the role.**:

- **Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required in line with the level of responsibility of the post and to meet the changing needs of the organisation.**
