**The Role**

To manage the effective and efficient delivery of a high class financial processing service across the Corporation, Overseas and wider Lloyd’s Market

To manage the market settlement service for processing of all premiums, claims, reinsurance transactions, on behalf of the Lloyd’s Market, ensuring that it is as efficient and well controlled service which meets current and future business requirements

**Responsibilities**
- To manage all functions with the Settlement & Trust Fund Operations (STFO) team ensuring that effective controls are in place to meet all legal and regulatory requirements
- To manage the delivery of a high class financial processing service to the Lloyd’s Market, this includes authorization and release of all payments relating to Central accounting and Shared Services on a daily basis in accordance with procedures and timeframes
- To manage the quarterly settlement services for regulatory funding and bank billing processes, this included the US Situs Top UP, Canadian Top Up and US billing
- To manage the financial processing service for the Lloyd’s market, this includes recording/confirming the receipt of the instructions from Managing Agents and authorising cash transfers and third party payments into the appropriate banking systems to ensurethat payments are processed accurately
- To manage the Letter of Credit (LOC) scheme for the Lloyd’s market, this includes liaising with Xchanging, Citibank and Mendes and Mount to ensure that transactions are processed in accordance with the requests from the brokers and beneficiaries
- To review and ensure that each of the Lloyd’s settlement bank accounts are reconciled on a daily basis, minimising overdrafts and liaising with relevant parties
- To provide the Worldlink processing service for the Lloyd’s market, this includes liaising with Citibank to book any required deals, authorisation and final release of payments into the banking system and management of queries with Xchanging/Citibank toensure that payments are processed accurately
- Management of the annual STFO external auditor assurance work
- To provide a financial processing service to the Corporation and Overseas, this includes both the inputting and authorising of payments as required
- Manage the various specialist systems within the financial processing STFO team to ensure that they remain robust, secure, effective and efficient in the delivery of all financial processing to the Market
- Identify and implement process improvements where appropriate, ensuring that all business needs continue to be met
- Assist with the Concur travel management process

**Skills & Knowledge**
- Good numeracy and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, dealing with colleagues, external customers and suppliers at all levels
- Ability to work on own initiative, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines, escalating issues appropriately to manage risk
- Microsoft Excel skills
- Understanding of risks and issues that impact on the ability of team to meet its objectives
- Good communication skills and confidence to drive new ideas and seek to improve work practice
- Understanding of banking systems and processes
- Knowledge of Lloyd’s useful but not essential
