Due to exciting plans to upgrade customers from some of our older pension propositions to the flagship solutions, we are recruiting an experienced Product Owner to join the team in Edinburgh, Alderley Park, or London.
Customers needs are constantly evolving. As a modern mutual it, it is important to us to ensure that Royal London’s solutions brilliantly meet those needs. This opportunity as Product Owner is to play a key role in enhancing customer solutions - understanding the customer needs and market context, generating solutions and leading the resulting proposition deliveries.
**About the role**
- Provide relevant expertise on the Propositions and recommend changes, to better meet customer and adviser needs.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of customer/adviser/ needs, competitor products/landscape, regulatory concerns to inform the strategic direction for the proposition.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of the end-to-end propositions including the articulation of the vision and requirements to stakeholders.
- Champion customer-led design to ensure that insights are applied to new features, journeys, or products to deliver meaningful value.
- Ensure compliance with the FCA’s Consumer Duty obligations and mortgage regulation.
- Support with recommendations for proposition positioning, from pricing to servicing and all broader experience offered.
- Collaborate and influence key stakeholders to develop a strong roadmap/backlog and deliver on business outcomes - ensuring propositions are successfully deployed and set up for success in attracting (and retaining) customers or reducing costs.
- Provide strong leadership across functions and within your team, delivering on outcomes and managing costs.
**About you**
- Experience from within the financial services sector is essential, ideally from within the retirement space.
- Customer focused, with a thirst for insight and ability to leverage insight to develop successful propositions.
- Outcome focused, with a good understanding of customer and adviser dynamics, and ability to identify focus to add greatest value.
- Proven proposition development experience.
- Ability to effectively, engage, influence, and communicate across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand the impact of proposition recommendations and analyse proposition performance.
- Experience working with multi-disciplined teams, keeping on track for agreed goals.
- Experience in managing product development and risk in line with Risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
