About The Role
**Location**:Christchurch
**Days & Hours**:6 month Fixed term contract - Monday to Friday, 7.30am-9am (one morning a week would be a later finish due to cleaning duties at the family home) and 3pm-6pm, some evenings you may be required until 7-8pm.
**Pay**:£13.00 per hour, Weekdays and £14.50 per hour, Weekends***
**Driver required? **Essential
**Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? **Yes, on duty and to attend trainings, business insurance required and business mileage paid
**Essential Experience**:Assisting with adults and working with young children
**Desirable**:Experience working with adults with trauma and an interest in therapy
**Accommodation (while on duty)**:2-bedroom family home
We are seeking a patient, caring Mother's help for Caroline, who was involved in a traffic collision. She lives with her 2 children aged 10 and 5 with wider family living nearby. Before the accident Caroline enjoyed spending time with her children completing activities, walking and cooking and baking.
- As a result of the accident, Caroline has reduced mobility in her lower limbs and unable to lift her right lower limb or wear a shoe on her right foot. She has a stick to mobilise indoors and outdoors. Caroline finds stairs difficult and uses a lot of arm strength to negotiate. She has reduced sleep due to pain and experiences fatigue throughout the day.
One of Caroline's daughters has additional needs and also sustained injuries in the same road traffic accident as her.
- Your role will be to support Caroline with preparing breakfast, getting the children ready for school and taking them to school in the morning. On one morning of the week, after the school run you would be expected to go back to the family home to provide cleaning duties. In the afternoon you will be collecting the children from school, supporting when home from school with activities, cooking the family meal and assisting to get ready for bedtime.

**Pay and Benefits**:
- £13.00 per hour, Weekdays and £14.50 per hour, Weekends- On-going training & support provided- 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata- Free DBS check.**In order to promote continuity of our high care standards, you will be offered**:

- A Handling Management Plan is available if needed and is designed to reduce the risk of handling injuries, but you may be required to bend, kneel, squat, push or pull.
- Experience of working with trauma
- Confident and comfortable working in Caroline’s own home and sensitive to the needs and wishes of her and her family

- A full driving licence (endorsements to be disclosed) and on rare occasions you will be required to drive Caroline and her children.
