**Overall Purpose of Job**

To be responsible for the support, monitoring and development of all Business Systems, identifying areas for improvement & ensuring our systems remain up to date with patches & releases.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Create methods to monitor and assess the health and performance of all our systems & make recommendations to rectify issues and increase performance
- To carry out the creation of SQL scripts to automate data transfer, develop relevant scripts for export and be responsible for the audit and maintenance of the SQL databases and data warehouse ‘s for all Business Systems.
- Responsible for keeping Business Systems operational, responding to all helpdesk calls & escalated incidents within service standards.
- Lead on system upgrades, patching & development projects, including coordination of testing and supporting the business through system changes.
- Responsible for the creation and execution of a development roadmap for all our Business Systems.
- To provide structured training and support to team members on new developments and SQL systems.
- Creation of SQL scheduled tasks and automation services.
- Enhance data loading facilities where imports and interfaces are insufficient.
- Responsible for ensuring systems are backed up appropriately, risks and issues should be documented and reported to the ICT Management Team.
- Responsible for the management and design of workflows within all Business Systems where relevant.
- To implement system changes in line with ICT change management procedures.
- Provide ICT support to all users of Business Systems within the group and assist other team members in identifying errors and providing solutions.
- Working closely with other staff members on a regular basis to respond to the demanding needs, assisting with any additional work as and when required.
- Maintain excellent working relationship with customers, 3rd party support, developers and other key professionals.
- Attendance of annual conference events for system updates and collaboration with other HA's.
- The ability to manage large multiuser SQL Server Database Systems, manipulating data & transitioning changes between various databases.
- Utilising various SQL functions and DBA techniques to perform data extraction, transformation and loading functions.

**Creativity & Innovation**
- Be competent in the use of a wide range of ICT products, and be able to use own initiative, to provide a problem resolution service to the company.
- Analyse and evaluate new products that will bring benefits and improvement to the group and make innovative recommendations to the ICT Management Team.
- Work with an outline of requirements from the customer, design, plan and implement imaginative and appropriate solutions.
- Provide solutions to escalated help desk calls appropriate to the circumstances.
- Be dynamic based on the demands of the business dealing with unexpected circumstances and make use of limited resource and expertise.

***Contacts & Relationships**
- The ability to network and establish a good working relationship with customers, suppliers, 3rd party support and key professionals building a network of trust and sharing of innovation.
- Effective interaction with 3rd party suppliers daily managing support calls and escalating them where required.
- Hold workshops for stakeholders and chair meetings as and when required.
- Daily contact with ICT team where complex systems issues are discussed and resolved or escalated.
- Daily correspondence at all levels in the company in order to determine requirements, advise on and promote the use of ICT.

**Decision Making - Discretion**
- Ability to formulate solutions and ideas for development using own initiative.
- Able to identify potential areas of risk, evaluate and report required resolutions to ICT Management.
- Approval of change implementation and rollbacks to production environments following ICT change control procedures.
- Responsible for planning own helpdesk and change management requests to comply with set deadlines & business needs.
- Make proposals for improvement and bringing them forward to the ICT team in a clear format outlining high level benefits.
- Managing risks in the decisions made which will have a great impact on the business and the service it delivers to its customers.

**Decision Making - Consequences**
- Working with systems where a lapse of judgement or poor attention to detail could lead to the loss of data.
- Systems availability for the group. Potential to jeopardise productivity along with access to all our services for our tenants & customers.
- Loss of sensitive data and poor performance of key Business Systems.
