We are looking for a Driver & Handyperson to join a leading bespoke furniture business. You will be based at their Battersea warehouse/showroom, and be responsible for driving, delivering stock, and installing items as required in the showroom and workshop.

You will work alongside the warehouse team, the designers, and craftspeople, moving stock between the showroom, workshop and warehouses as required. You will ensure the safe packing and protecting of the pieces in transport, as well as delivering key piecesto customers, so a personable and friendly approach and excellent communication skills are key. Experience driving a van in London is essential, this is a physically demanding role so being strong, fit and healthy is essential too. Good computer skills areneeded to log into the inventory management system and manage client’s orders, and you will be highly organised and an excellent multitasker.

Solid handyman skills are important in this role too, with a can-do approach and the ability to turn your hand to most practical tasks.

**Duties for this Driver & Handyperson position will include**:

- Expert at loading a van competently and safely, ensuring pieces are cared for and arrive immaculately
- Driving respectfully, competently and with care, looking after the vehicle and keeping it clean and serviced. Hiring and driving the correct vehicle for the transportation of goods when necessary
- Logging into the inventory management system, retrieving orders and locating stock,
- Supporting the wider team as needed, organising and prioritising effectively according to the business’ needs
- Basic handyperson skills - these should include:

- o Maintenance and repair of fixtures and fittings
- Moving and assembling furniture or equipment as required
- Basic plumbing jobs
- Organisation of workshop
- Assistance with installations
- Hanging pictures/mirrors
- Liaising with outside contractors as required

**Skills required for this Driver & Handyperson role**:

- Full clean driving licence, experience driving a van
- Previous experience within the furniture business or dealing with fragile items desirable
- Good communication skills, you will be delivering to high end clients so an appreciation of excellent customer service is a must
- Computer literate, able to log into a system and retrieve orders and stock items
- A high level of organisation and an ability to manage a lot of different jobs simultaneously, knowing how to prioritise
- An ability to turn your hand to all practical tasks and do them with an exceptional eye for detail
- Calm and level-headed approach essential, together with copious amounts of common sense
- Flexible, friendly and team player
