Driver / Houseman / Household Assistant – Private Family, London Location: Central and West LondonStart Date: Mid-January 2025 (with training period while the family is away)Hours: Typically Monday to Friday, 9am‑5pm, with flexibility for occasional varied hours when required (time off in lieu given).Salary: £50,000 + DOEBenefits: Pension, health & dental insurance, Oyster/travel paid, 28 days holiday + bank holidays A lovely, down to earth young family of 3 is seeking a flexible, proactive Driver/Houseman/Household Assistant to support their daily life across their Notting Hill home, Pall Mall office, and occasional European travel. This newly created, varied position works closely with the Chief of Staff. No two days will be the same, and the role would suit someone hands on, upbeat, and happy to help where needed. The family are relaxed, friendly, and value a personable team member with a good sense of humour. You'll be joining a small, supportive team and will be an integral part of smooth daily operations of family and office life. Key Responsibilities Driving & Logistics Confident driving for family and principal journeys (e.g., airport runs, errands).Assistance transporting suitcases, clothing, or items between London and Paris/Switzerland.Flexible to support travel logistics when required (passport essential). Household & Family Support Light household assistance around the family home (new baby in residence).Helping with two miniature dachshunds – walks, vet trips, moving them between locations.Household PA tasks: managing post, returns, collecting items from storage, liaising with contractors. DIY & General Handyperson Tasks Not essential but highly desirable Light DIY tasks as and when (e.g. Flat pack assembly, putting up shelves/frames, minor fixes, moving furniture).Happy using basic tools and comfortable hiring/using a small van when necessary. Office & Administrative Support Occasional help in the family office assisting the chief of staff with reconciling receipts, filing expenses and simple data entry.Light PA support: booking restaurants, flights/trains (alongside the family PA) when needed.Assisting during meeting days (setting up, greeting guests, refreshments).Office management: restocking supplies, coordinating with building management for repairs.
