Sen Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a number of support staff to join the team at an SEN Specialist School in Cambridge. This school caters to children and young people aged 3-19, each with complex and significant needs in the area of cognitionand learning. Each pupil is provided with a bespoke learning plan based on an appropriately paced curriculum.
**The school**: Each pupil at this special school has an ECHP for severe or profound learning difficulties. In some cases, pupils have additional associated needs in the areas of emotional/social and communication and interaction (autistic spectrumcondition and/or speech and language difficulties). Pupils may also have physical disabilities that require additional care.
**The role**:You will be providing support, both in a 1:1 and group setting, to ensure a safe and supportive environment that will enable pupils to thrive. This involves working closely with students with complex needs and tailoring your approachto best fit the needs of each pupil. Although there is a large student support aspect to this role, you will also be supporting the class teacher with academic activities and lessons.
This role is full-time and will start as soon as possible. It is temporary to begin with but has a possibility of going permanent if it is the right fit.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
