Job description
**The Role**
As a Medical Receptionist, you will work as part of our patient facing receptionist team to complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and will multitask and prioritise to get this work done. You will support clinical staff and problem solve for patients and displace exceptional communication skills.
This role will be a mix of days, evenings (up to 9pm) and weekends.
You will have all the attributes required to provide a high-quality service to our patients and understand the support your team needs. In addition, you will have:
- A good standard of general education.
- Previous Receptionist or customer service experience (preferred but not essential)
**Job Breakdown**
- Meet and greet patients in a polite, friendly and courteous manner.
- Comply with all Covid guidelines and checklists.
- Preparation of patient packs in readiness for clinical sessions.
- Processing of payments from private clients; recording and balancing of payments at the end of each day.
- Ensure reception area, waiting areas and kitchen are kept clean and tidy.
- Provision of appropriate hospitality arrangements for patients and visitors.
- Monitoring of specific stock levels and ordering as required.
- Dealing with clinic and patient appointment queries and cancellations.
- Maintenance of the relevant patient management system.
- Ensuring patients’ privacy and dignity are respected at all times.
- Ensure all company procedures, especially those around data control and confidentiality, are adhered to at all times.
- Assist with the induction process for any new clinical staff employed at GLH.
