**Join our diverse and dynamic team as a Development Team Lead**
We're looking for a development team lead with organisational skills to manage our offshore developers as part of a wider development team, working alongside UK based business analysts, developers and QA test analysts.
You will lead the offshore development team on specific projects for the business.
**Location**: Commutable to base office in either Tunbridge Wells or Whitstable
**Salary**: £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
**Hours**: 35 hours per week. Full-time, permanent
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage offshore development team to achieve high standards through building industry leading, robust and innovative software solutions that are fit for purpose.
- Effectively act as a product owner for designated projects, representing the interests of the business both tactically and strategically.
- Arrange and chair sprint planning and other development meetings such as daily stand-ups, retrospectives etc.
- Liaise with colleagues in IT, other departments and 3rd parties as required to resolve blockers and progress deliveries as necessary.
- Co-ordinating testing activities as part of the core delivery and ensuring testing has the appropriate input into planning meetings.
- Planning and co-ordinating release activities liaising with business to agree UAT and Live sign off dates for the project.
- Responsibility for producing succinct and appropriate reporting.
- Be responsible for day-to-day resource management as well as required admin including timesheets reconciliation.

**Essential Experience**:

- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Skilled with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS office suite, Visio or similar
- Experience of working with DevOps teams using agile frameworks.
- Able to converse with both technical and non-technical team members
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Solid understanding of development processes, Software Development Lifecycle and User Story creation.
- Any knowledge of Financial and Insurance Services
- Knowledge of current company systems is desirable

**Personal Qualities**
- Having a technical, analytical or process background with a good understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills are a necessity, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Applicants should have good time management skills and able to manage workloads appropriately.
- Good analytical and decision-making skills are essential to provide good business value and ensure that our products are of high technical standard.
