We are seeking An IT Manager to join our dedicated team in Manchester.

The Pilot Group are dedicated to improving people’s lives and the environment. We lead the way in SMART, SAFE and SUSTAINABLE infrastructure solutions. With combined experience over 5 decades spanning across electronics, electrical, heating and lightingmarkets, we pride ourselves in working in partnership with organisations world-wide to deliver integrated technology to improve working environments and transport systems.

As the Group continues to grow, we are looking for a driven IT Manager to provide on-site / remote support for the Group of Companies. The IT manager will lead a small Team in driving the company's technology strategy and ensuring a seamless operation ofall IT systems.

**Role;**

Leading both the Infrastructure and Service teams, you will be technically proficient in supporting, architecting, and securing a highly available, performant and secure technical estate across both the public cloud and private cloud (IaaS). You will alsobe required to work closely with the Development, Project and Engineering teams, to ensure systems are aligned with the technical strategy, secure, governed and supported.

**Responsibilities;**
- Full responsibility for IT and Security across all areas of the business.
- Managing and Mentoring the IT team.
- Lead the identification, development and implementation of key IT and telecoms solutions to support the requirements of the group
- Act as the key technical escalation point
- Support implementation of new technology within IT, proactively seek to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction, supporting the drive towards cloud based and automation technologies.
- Manage and maintain the IT Budget and spend
- Ensure all required technical documentation is created and maintained
- Own end to end delivery of IT projects, from inception to implementation

**Essential experience;**
- Strong technical knowledge of MS Intune & EMS
- Proficient across Azure Cloud Services
- Solid experience in IT, Endpoint and Network Security
- Excellent understanding of Active Directory, in an Azure Hybrid environment.
- Technical knowledge of Windows Servers
- Hand on experience of Linux/Unix
- Strong Networking skills
- Working knowledge of SQL Server, Powerbi and Power apps

**Desired;**
- Azure Sentinel/Siem experience
- Cyber Essentials
- Experience planning, forecasting and effectively managing project risk
- Deep understanding of project methodologies

**Person specification;**
- A strong communicator (both written and verbal) with attention to detail
- Organised with excellent time management skills
- High levels of drive and enthusiasm
- Flexible and adaptable
- Able to prioritise, and work to deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a relationship builder
