**Job Title**:Head driver and events porter / warehouse

**Responsible to**:Director / Senior Managers

**Responsible for**:Drivers **/ **Event Porters

**Job Summary**:To manage all of the Back of House operations of Cooks & Partners effectively, responsibly and profitably

**Main Duties** **Transportation**

1. Produce or follow the weekly delivery schedule and ensure that all deliveries and collections are made on time

2. Ensure that all refrigeration temperature sheets are complete and filed

3. All vehicles to be kept to a high standard of cleanliness in line with the cleaning schedule

4. Any other relevant paper work is maintained

5. Carry out weekly vehicles checks

6. Carry out general maintenance on all vehicles

**Warehouse**

1. Manage the warehouse in a effective, responsible and profitable manner

2. Pull and count hire out and complete paper work in good time before events

3. Count hire back into stock promptly following events

4. Accurately manage drink stocks in and out

5. Carry out general maintenance of equipment

6. Check all electrical equipment that is returned from events to ensure safety and good working order

7. To carry cleaning in line with warehouse cleaning schedule

**Events**

1. To set up and break down on events, ensuring that venues are left in good condition and good relationships are maintained with venue contacts, Oversee and manage porters on events.

**Staff**

1. Manage temporary drivers and porters

2. Manage all back of house staff on events

3. Allocate duties to temporary staff and make sure they carry these out to your satisfaction

Help recruit prospective staff were appropriate

**Purchasing / Suppliers**

1. Ordering of beverages, cleaning and disposables as required from the nominated Cooks & Partners suppliers and where possible negotiate keen prices

2. Shopping where and when required

**Equipment**

1. Ensure that all hire equipment is maintained and in good working order

2. Ensure staff are trained and updated in the use of any machinery

3. Check that all machinery is being used correctly

4. Put forward suggestions to senior management regarding new equipment

5. Ensure monthly checks on all electric wires are carried out in accordance with Company guidelines

**Health & Safety**

1. Ensure that the correct training is given to all staff using machinery and that correct safe working practices are used to the standards set out in the Health & Safety at work act

2. Ensure that the correct records are kept with COSHH standard

**Health & Hygiene**

1. Ensure that the highest standards of hygiene are maintained in your area of responsibility and that the Cooks & Partners Hygiene document is rigorously followed

**Meetings**

1. Weekly meeting with Managers to plan following week’s work if needed

**General**

1. Maintain all laundry on a daily basis

2. Maintain external laundry on a weekly basis

3. Oversee and carry out general maintenance if required at any C&P site in line with legislation, health and safety and company policies

4. Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Director

**Person Specification**

**Driver and warehouse manager**

**Salary**: £28,000.00 per year
