**Porters are the backbone of exhibitions and the events industry. Without porters, most events would not be able to come to fruition, and that is why we have taken heed, and we are now the sole suppliers of porters to exhibitions for the largest events company in Europe.**

We are a London based Events and Exhibition Agency who primarily work in locations based in London and the surrounding areas, supplying staff to some of the largest Exhibitions across the U.K. Our work however, is not limited to this as we also work in multiple Hotels and other various venues nationwide.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

As a member of the team, you will assist with deliveries, removal of supplies and furniture throughout the event space. Collaborative working, and team work is a large part of the job, so you will also be assigned to help other teams with projects as needed. You will be required to be professional and discreet in all circumstances throughout the exhibition. This is a labor-intensive role, and involves standing and moving for long periods of time. You must be able-bodied and willing to carry at least 14 - 23kg (_35 - 50lbs_). A proactive mindset, resourcefulness and quick thinking will help you to succeed in this position.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Loading / unloading furniture from lorries.
- Furniture distribution
- Handling exhibitor queries (customer service)
- Working from exhibition floor plans

**Additional Responsibilities for Event Crew Work**
- Setting up and breaking down events
- Building and breaking down temporary stages and seating structures
- Rigging/De-rigging Sound, AV and lighting equipment
- Set Building

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Prior experience in furniture removal or a warehouse environment is essential.
- You must be able to read and follow basic floor plans and instructions.
- You must be able to work well under mínimal supervision
- You must be able to stand for long periods, and participate in physical work and heavy lifting.

A Full UK Driving license is beneficial but not essential.

**DESIRABLE CRITERIA**:

- manual handling experience of any kind, preferably heavy lifting
- experience of working with audio-visual companies
- any experience of the events industry, construction or film and television
- driving licence and experience of driving commercial vehicles
- CSCS/SPA card holders
- Carpenters and Scaffolders

Please note the dress code is all black, and you MUST have safety boots/shoes.

Our Crew rates start from £10ph and go up depending on experience

Our drivers rates are £15ph

Our Show Leaders rates start from £12ph

We offer flexible work shifts: Monday - Sunday between 7am to 11pm.

Main Locations: Olympia (Hammersmith), Excel (Docklands), BDC (Islington), Old Billings Gate (Billings Gate), Battersea Evolution (Battersea).

Immediate start.

**Salary**: £10.00-£18.00 per hour
