We'd like you to join us as a Consultant in Rehab Medicine at Woodlands Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in York.

Woodlands is a Consultant led level 2A service specialising in the treatment, rehabilitation and care of patients with acquired brain injuries. We support patients with neurological rehabilitation including physical, cognitive and functional rehabilitation and avocational rehabilitation, management of progressive neurological conditions, specialist spasticity management, SMART Assessment of Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness (PDoC) and specialist nursing care.

**What you'll be doing**:
CLINICAL
- Leading the multidisciplinary team that undertakes assessments for admissions to the service.
- Leading the multidisciplinary team in the care and treatment of our residents.
- Attend family meetings, case review meetings and discharge planning meetings as required
- Practise evidence-based care through national standards and guidelines (such as NICE and the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine)

MANAGEMENT
- Attendance, and contribution to, the site based clinical governance meeting.
- Attendance, and contribution to, the Active Care Group Neuro Network (and working with the Network Clinical Leads).
- Participate in service development, through research, innovation and local audit.
- Continue strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Supervision and support of the site based junior doctor.
- Engagement in National Networks
- Ongoing personal development through CPD and annual appraisal (and adhering to the GMC’s “Good Medical Practice”

**What you'll have**:

- Full GMC registration
- MRCP (required)
- Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist Register (required)
- Working within a specialist neurorehabilitation setting (Desirable)
- Evidenced based practice
