**The Company** You will join a well respected and ambitious business who are enjoying growth and targeting "industryleader" status over the coming years. **The Role** Working closely with the Factory Manager with full responsibility for the coordination of planning resources to ensure continuity of production at all times. Key duties include-- Take full responsibility and accountability for the effective and efficient planning of production. - Co-ordinate with the Factory Manager to ensure shift patterns balance work loads in accordance with desired lead time. - Communicate the production lead times daily highlighting any potential variances from the organisational requirements in advance. - Ensure a working understanding of the maintenance cycles / requirements for the major equipment factoring in sufficient time to allow all necessary work to be carried out. - Escalate to the Operations Director any critical incidents that would prevent the required planning service levels to be provided and / or have occurred in production that would impact on the business - Liaise with the Purchasing Manager on any material shortages updating the production plan and highlighting to Sales of any changes **What you’ll need to succeed** You will have a demonstrable background in Production / Manufacturing Planning alongside the following attributes-- A professional approach which generates credibility and confidence in others - Confident and assertive but with a flexible attitude - The ability and tenacity to overcome problems and seek solutions - The ability and willingness to challenge conventional means of working in order to satisfy and achieve key objectives **What you’ll get in return** You will receive a competitive salary dependant on experience & qualification. **What you need to do next
