Looking for a role where you can make a real difference? As a Healthcare Support Worker, you'll work closely with our service users and their families, supporting them through their recovery and ensuring they have a positive and compassionate experience.
No previous care experience? No problem. As long as you have the right values and a willingness to learn, we'll provide you with full training and support to get started. Many of our current staff began their careers with us in exactly the same way. From there, you'll have the chance to develop further, with opportunities to progress into Band 3 HCSW roles and nursing apprenticeships.
This role is based at Ravenswood House, a medium and low secure forensic unit for adults with serious mental illness and/or personality disorders. Our patients may come to us from high secure hospitals, prisons, or the courts, and we provide high-quality care and treatment across four specialist wards. You'll need to be comfortable working a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, but we'll ensure you are fully supported as you gain confidence.
Why join us?
- NHS Pension Scheme with 23.7% employer contribution
- 27 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
- Unsociable hours enhancements of up to 83%
- NHS discounts on shopping, travel and leisure

You will carry out duties as designated by the person in charge and accurately record patient/service user information. In addition to this, you will provide support to relatives/carers.
You will need to be kind and responsive and remain professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services we provide. You will need to have good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a caring and supportive approach to working.
