Hardware Systems Engineer

**Role**:Hardware Systems Engineer **Site Location**: GE Cheltenham, Bishop's Cleeve **Rate**:£55 p/hour (Umbrella) **IR35 Status**: Inside IR35 **Responsibilities**: - Demonstrate your power distribution knowledge managing requirements, designing, verifying and testing electrical systems. - Use your knowledge of the product development lifecycle to provide technical support to the team and the wider business. - Be familiar with technologies in Power switching and control circuitry. - Have excellent technical problem-solving skills; to be able to assess problems thoroughly and drive logical conclusions (i.e., common sense approach, not embarrassed to ask the "obvious" questions). - Have experience of working in a team environment delivering products to cost and schedule. - Solving of complex hardware engineering problems and Hardware Architecture Definition **Qualifications/Requirements**: - Previous experience in an avionics embedded systems development environment. - An understanding of hardware engineering and architectures - Knowledge of creating and performing testing or qualification activities. - A positive attitude, initiative, pro-activeness and an enthusiasm and passion for engineering. - Proven ability to contribute to a team environment. - Good written and verbal communication skills. **Desired Characteristics**: - Experience of the design lifecycle within the aerospace or a similar safety critical industry - Use of requirements management tools e.g., DOORS - Knowledge of Electrical Wiring Installation System (EWIS) regulatory. - An understanding of regulatory and safety requirements for safety critical products (ideally gained in an avionics or similar environment). **IF INTERESTED PLEASE SUBMIT CV BELOW OR TO**:
