You will be Supporting young people between the ages of 9- 19 with Learning/Physical disabilities, complex health needs and autism. Overview: - Title: Childrens Support Worker Team Leader - Salary: £23,400 PLUS plenty of overtime available - Location: Leek, Staffordshire - Contract: Permanent - Hours: Full Time **Benefits**: - Free meals whilst on shift - Getting paid to go Shopping, Theme Parks, Zoos, swimming & many more activities - Casual dress code - Company pension - Access to discounts for shopping outlets, restaurants and cinemas - Comprehensive Training Package including scheduled ongoing face-to-face training and CPD planning - Plenty of opportunities to maximise earnings and career development - Enhanced disclosure cost coverage The role: What you will be doing as a Childrens Support Worker Team Leader: - To ensure that the children are safe and protect them from risks to their health and welfare - All aspects of care including personal care - To keep the homely, friendly culture and environment of the homes. - Keeping on top of household chores such as cleaning & doing laundry - To be able to deal with challenging behaviours when needed. - Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being. - Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the individual’s care plan, guidelines, reward system and preferred method of communication. - Supporting poor behaviour safely and sympathetically. - Develop and maintain good working relationships with the staff, parents, Social Workers and other professionals that may be involved in the young people’s lives such as Psychologists. What you will need to be a successful Childrens Support Worker Team Leader - You MUST be willing to carry out personal care duties - Ideally be a driver as you will be required to transport the young people from time to time - You MUST be an empathetic and relatable person, have good listening and communication skills, and a natural instinct to help others - You MUST be able to commute to Leak - MUST have a Level 3/4 in Children and Young People Do you want to make a real, measurable difference in the lives of young people?
