**Shipping Administration Assistant**
**Location**: Sawston, Cambridge**
Salary**: £20-24K

**Organised and motivated admin whizz needed for our Sawston office, where we supply pro audio and music technology across Africa**

If you’re someone who’s great with people, loves to keep things in order and has an interest in global music, we may have the perfect admin role for you.

At PAXT, we grow international markets on behalf of some of the world’s leading professional audio brands. We are looking for a friendly and highly organised admin assistant with a keen interest in music to help with the international shipping function ofour rapidly growing business.

Reporting into a senior member of the team, you will need to communicate clearly with customers, process new customer orders and liaise with suppliers to ensure they have all the necessary information to fulfil all out-going shipments. It’s a hands-on andfriendly team and we want someone who will bring energy and commitment to the role. If you have an interest in, or experience of, African music and sound communities, this could be a brilliant fit for you.

**Key Responsibilities**

The core areas of responsibility within the role are:

- Processing customer orders on the computer and liaising with suppliers
- Obtaining freight quotes from forwarders
- Answering sales enquiries (under supervision)
- Helping to prepare export documents
- Inputting digital Supplier Purchase Invoices
- General sales office admin duties as needed

**Experience, attributes and skills**

Your attitude, communication and organisational skills are key for this role. The main things we’re looking for include:

- Good attention to detail and a thorough, systematic approach to admin tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Basic computer knowledge
- An exceptional telephone manner and knack for building rapport quickly
- Knowledge of SAGE is an advantage but training can be provided
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm and a can-do approach
- A lived experience of, or passionate interest in, the African music & sound communities we serve
