**What will the apprentice be doing?**:
ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Process Improvement Technician will provide fundamental support in the successful delivery of Continuous Improvement programmes across UK divisions, as part of the Business Excellence team. This exciting opportunity will expose you to all areas of the business where you will learn a variety of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques including Root Cause Analysis and Lean methodologies, and will provide lots of opportunity for personal development. In this role you will obtain an understanding of how to identify “current state” processes, how to assess them for improvement opportunities, and how to identify appropriate solutions.

KEY ROLES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILTIES
- Support the Head of Business Excellence in the coordination and management of continuous improvement activities (including action tracking, scheduling, supporting the facilitator, and other accountabilities).
- Input data and collate team reports to required deadlines
- Maintain and develop the Business Excellence Process Directory and Continuous
- Improvement ‘Portal’ with relevant documentation
- Assist the team in producing communications for business briefings, newsletters and magazines
- Contribute ideas and make recommendations for process improvements

**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**:
An Improvement Technician Level 3 apprenticeship

The apprenticeship training with be with us - Swarm Training, a national provider of apprenticeships through the UK. You will have 20% of your time set aside for paid apprenticeship self-studies with tutor support.

**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**:
Potential full-time role depending on performance after the apprenticeship
