We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to join our Recycling business to coordinate continuous improvement project and support Lean culture, constantly looking to drive change. If you have a background in project coordination, excellentpeople skills, great eye for detail and a natural instinct for process improvements, then this could be the role for you

This is a national hybrid-working role with circa 40-60% travel expectation to our depots (travel would significantly depend on where you are located in proximity to our sites).

**About the role**
- Support and promote process quality through appropriate audit tools/ mechanisms, particularly with regard to Lean Embedded Measures (LEM) assessments and process confirmation audits on a regular prescribed basis.
- Develop, Implement and promote the 'DS Smith Way' (Lean), 5S and other operational techniques to drive improvement in management standards.
- Support our Environment, Health & Safety standards
- Administrative support to our Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Facilitate the development of lean tools and processes
- Understand the depot operation and maintenance of all mobile/ fixed plant and fleet, in order to maximise effectiveness.
- Provision of administrative support for change programmes to ensure effective reporting and management of initiatives.
- Assist in the implementation the 'DS Smith Way' (Lean principles) in Head Office teams and the depot network. Sharing, challenging, and developing best practices.
- Provision of Lean framework advice and support to depot and head office teams to influence continuous improvement culture.
- Assist Operational Excellence Lead in the management of the DS Smith Recycling Process Library.
- Assist in the collation of core business KPI data, contributing to performance management reports.

- Basic to moderate experience of continuous improvement
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Great organisation skills
- IT literate
- Willingness to travel to depots around the UK
