Lecturer/instructor Demonstrator in Hairdressing

**Salary**: £27,486 - £41,467 _(pro rata per annum) / _£28,282 - £30,881 _(pro rata per annum)_

Contract Type: Fixed Term, Maternity Cover

Hours: 31.45hrs per week

Location: Crewe Campus

We are looking for an inspirational Lecturer/Instructor Demonstrator to take on an exciting new role within our Hairdressing department.

This role will be to start in September 2025 and is a split role working 20.35hrs as Lecturer and 11.1hrs as Instructor/Demonstrator.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lecturing on a range of courses in Hairdressing;
- Undertaking other duties including tutorial support and associated administrative tasks;
- Develop learners’ practical skills through demonstrations and instruction in practical workshops and realistic working environments;
- Assess learners against identified frameworks;
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons in line with College policies; _and_
- Keep accurate records for learners’ progress in College.

**Key Person Specification Requirements**:

- Teacher trained _(PGCE, DTLLS or CertEd)_ or commitment to work towards;
- Assessor Award _(TAQA/A1)_ or equivalent;
- Level 3 qualification _(or equivalent)_ in Hairdressing;
- GCSE Grade C _(4/5)_ in English and Maths;
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
- Up-to-date occupational experience; _and_
- Enhanced DBS check.
