**Summary**

**My high-profile banking client is looking for a Release Manager to join their team based in Edinburgh on a hybrid basis (once a month on site) on initial 6-month contract with a strong chance of extensions.**

As release manager you will be responsible for managing the release implementation process from planning through to the live implementation, ensuring change governance & quality criteria is met
Engaging with lab(s) to understand future deliveries, effectively prioritising, and evaluating your own workload.

**So what would you be doing for us?**

Design and implement bespoke implementation strategies to support complex/non-standard changes, viewing change from various perspectives - customer, service, performance, operations.
- Lead a team within the digital environment space, work with digital stakeholders on activities and responsible for day to day management of the Route to Live Environments.
- Run and Coordinate the overall calendar approach for Releases, Defect management, Environment Provisioning.
- Handle and coordinate appropriate governance and meetings, working in partnership with all key stakeholders to ensure their expectations are handled and that all aspects of the service are clearly understood.
- Accountable for producing all reports and service metrics and reviewing with client managers.
- Leading new resource requirements and other operational requirements.
- Responsible for co-ordination and management all the relevant test activity as part of the route to live from sandbox to Production.
- Responsible for ensuring any risks are identified and raised and handled in accordance with risk processes and procedures.
- Act an escalation point for any issues and coordinate any supply and demand requirements, feeding into Senior Management as the need arises.

- Ability to lead and deliver software infrastructure and configurations
- A specialist understanding of software development lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills resulting in the ability to build and develop strong working relationships
- Excellent risk and issue management
- Structured thinking
- Experience in coordinating multi-functional work teams up to task completion
