**Salary**:£12.00 - £12.38 per hour

**Hours**:Various - Part time/casual hours covering daytime, evening, and weekends Monday to Sunday

**Location**:Selby Leisure Centre
- **We are currently seeking individuals who share our passion for excellent customer service and will contribute to our ongoing success at Selby Leisure Centre as a Receptionist.**_

**The Role**

You will provide excellent front-line customer service to Selby Leisure Centre visitors. Ensuring a great first impression is given, that positively represents the Council and be helpful and professional whilst handling a range of customer communication channels.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Follow Leisure Centre Safety Operating Procedures (CSOP’s) and control the safety of all customers within the centre, including assigned tasks in emergency and evacuation situations.
- Be responsible for the taking of monies and issuing of receipts in accordance with approved fees and charges and operational procedures. Ensure that all financial transactions are reconciled following the centres cashing up procedures.
- Deal with customer complaints, ensuring diplomacy to sensitive matters and promptly advise line manager of any problems which may affect the ability of the centre to provide a high-quality service.

**What you will bring**

You will have experience in working in a public customer service position and have the ability to communicate with people at all levels in a polite and courteous manner.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Good administration skills
- Well organised and flexible
- Ability to work as part of a team and work on own initiative
- Sales focussed
- Cash reconciliation and handling
