Working from ideology that people achieve a more sustained recovery when community connection is apparent this is a team that comprises of skilled and specialised support staff working across all mental health pathways to assertively engage and support individuals in working towards therapeutic recovery.

This person will be a skilful communicator and able to liaise and negotiate across service boundaries across various settings. They will ideally be research aware, and use evidence to support and develop practice. They will have some experience of mentoring and/or developing others and be familiar with supervising more junior members of staff, completing and undertaking supervision and 1:1 appraisal.

The post holder will be able to use their understanding of the relationship between social inclusion and mental health to provide support to the Central CPET team which comprises of experienced skilled and specialised support staff working across all mental health pathways to assertively engage and support individuals in working towards therapeutic recovery.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
