**What hours will you be working?**

35 hours per week across Monday to Friday (exclusive of breaks) Default hours are 7-3 and you will start and finish your day at the Joshua Bradley pub in Hyde.

**Place of Work**

You’ll start your day at the Joshua Bradley in Hyde and from there you’ll travel to work across our pubs, bars and hotels in the North-West of England. Our area covers Bury, Hyde, Wilmslow and across the M56 to include Wrexham, Chester and the Wirral.

**What you’ll be doing as a Gardener**

Working within a team of 2 gardeners, you’ll mainly be working together visiting our pubs to perform planned and reactive gardening and grounds tasks.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring our sites are kept in great condition, and responsibilities will include;
- General gardening work including grass cutting, litter picking, digging, weeding and planting
- Maintaining and protecting the plants
- Using equipment such as lawn mowers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers
- Pathway gritting and minor snow clearance in the winter
- Completing all the required tasks set to you each week
- Ensuring health and safety law is adhered to

**About you...**

As a key member of the team, you will have an attention to detail and be able to work on your own initiative as well as with another team member.

We're looking for someone with a great work ethic who has experience with general gardening tasks and is happy working outdoors in all weathers.

You'll also ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to, and equipment is kept in a safe working condition.

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
- Demonstrable experience and competence in all skills and basic knowledge of plants, shrubs, trees and maintenance
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Effective communication skills with the ability to provide clear verbal and written information relative to gardening activities
- Good time management with proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work as necessary to deal with multiple and competing demands on a regular basis
- Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with staff and customers at all levels
- Strong collaborative approach and team ethic
- IT competent with good literacy and numeracy
- Undertaking continual training to develop your skills and knowledge
