**Job Description**:
The purpose of the role is to support the Subco Senior Manager to deliver outstanding service and quality across the Northern Europe Subco operations through supplier management. This role is the front-line for day-to-day operations management of the Subco network. This support will be delivered through on-site visits to discuss Contractual agreements and Quality standards as well as providing supplier SAP training where required. Deputise for the Senior Manager, Northern Europe Subcos during any absence.

The role will also drive operational excellence standards and continuous improvement projects in UK network.

SAFETY. Ensure all Plant activity complies with current H&S legislation (Safety Audit of the Subcos). Manage subcontract service providers within agreed service levels and contract management.

QUALITY. Perform quality audits on each plant visit and answer off all Quality complaints through Salesforce working with the Subcos to perform clear and concise complaint investigation with actions in place to prevent future complaints. Ensure deviation from PQS targets is followed-up with a recovery plan. Attend customer visits where required/requested by Commercial colleagues.

SERVICE. Monitor logistics service performance and work in conjunction with the Subcos to ensure NE metrics are achieved in-line with expectations and contract requirements. Where these are not being met, action plan to be put in place and monitored to improve performance.

COST. Monitor Subco performance in-line with contractual agreements and claim penalty enforcement where necessary. Work with Subcos to identify mutual savings projects and support with the roll-out of budgetary cost initiatives.

STRATEGY. Support the Senior Manager on defining and delivering the NE SC Strategy through the subco plant network and the wider team. Support each subco in working with the NE Transformation Lead to develop a Site Masterplan (including Sustainability targets).

INVENTORY. Maintain an accurate reporting of stock with a regular audit cycle. Control storage, stock rotation, stock levels and material handling. Maintain comprehensive administration data and procedures to achieve high levels of stock accuracy. Control out-storage requirements in area. Escalate stock control issues.

SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP. Support the Senior Manager to develop new & existing suppliers to become long-term partners who deliver value for CHEP and can flex with our needs, ensuring that clear contracts are in place to define delivery of KPIs.
