**The Company**

A national leading logistics and multi-modal freight forwarding specialist that offer a full range of services across the UK, Europe and internationally. Specialising in providing solutions for import and export through road, air and sea as well as distributionand warehousing solutions. They also offer customs clearance and bonded warehouse solutions across their 8 national sites. They work consultatively with a varied client base to meet their needs and add value to their supply chain needs

**The Opportunity**

The purpose of this role is to maximise our current business levels by selling our complete range of services to new customers based in the North of England

**Job Benefits**

**Responsibilities**:

- Proactively targeting companies to find out information regarding their transport requirements
- Qualifying client decision makers
- Liaise with Operations to identify areas in which we need to target and fill empty trailer space.
- Providing freight quotations and negotiating contracts and rates
- Logging quotations from the sales and operational departments to produce end of day and weekly reports, showing data on No. Quotes, follow ups and conversions
- Completing and updating your sales pipeline with your strongest leads.
- Booking meetings with potential new customers via Teams or Face to Face.
- Working and managing new projects
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer care
- Account managing clients during the first 12 months

**Person Specification**
- **Experience** - proven sales experience within freight forwarding, road freight, multimodal transport, air or sea freight
- **Knowledge** -knowledge of freight forwarding exports.
- **Location - Can be based anywhere in the North of England**:

- **Contacts - **Ideally you will have a track record and network of target clients that you have sold transport solutions to
- Experience of generating own sales leads would be beneficial
- Experience understanding and providing rates or quotes on freight
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to listen to customers to understand their requirements
- Strong administration skills to record all data and learn new systems
- Confident enough to pick up the phone and sell our services
- Ability to work to deadlines in a timely manner
- Full UK driving license
