**Bar Supervisor - The Queen Charlotte**

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Bar Supervisor to help lead our team on the floor, deliver exceptional service, and support management in driving sales, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

This role is perfect for someone ready to take the next step in their hospitality career — with opportunities to learn about management, financial control, and event coordination in a fast-paced, independent venue.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Operational & Service Leadership**
- Supervise the bar team during service to ensure efficient operations, exceptional customer experience, and adherence to brand standards.
- Lead by example — maintaining a visible, energetic presence on the floor, especially during peak times.
- Support management in opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting.
- Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and stock levels are maintained throughout service.
- Manage break times, and staff rotations in line with customer demand.
- Handle and resolve customer queries or complaints promptly and professionally.

**Sales & Financial Awareness**
- Work towards the venue’s daily revenue target, supporting upselling and promotion of high-margin products.
- Help maintain gross profit margins of 65% or above by monitoring pour accuracy, reducing wastage, and following pricing guidelines.
- Support the Assistant Manager with daily cashing up, reconciliation, and stock checks.
- Monitor and report low stock, discrepancies, or inefficiencies promptly.
- Promote loyalty schemes and specials to increase average spend per guest.

**Marketing & Event Support**
- Act as an on-site ambassador for _The Queen Charlotte_ brand — engaging with customers, encouraging social media check-ins, and promoting upcoming events.
- Support the Assistant Manager with event setup, themed nights, and social media content (photos, stories, and reels).
- Encourage the team to promote events and daily specials, driving participation and repeat visits.
- Provide customer feedback and suggestions to improve future marketing efforts.

**Team Leadership & Development**
- Supervise and motivate the bar team, fostering a positive, inclusive, and energetic work environment.
- Assist in training new team members on drinks preparation, service standards, and customer engagement.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and consistent communication during service.
- Uphold health, safety, and licensing standards at all times.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
