**What we expect you to do**:
You will be expected to take ownership of selected purchase ledger accounts, ensuring they are well managed, reconciled and any issues resolved in a timely professional manner.
**Key Duties**:
- Check and query all contractor invoices
- Ensure invoices approved are ready for payment as per payment terms
- Work with suppliers and internal departments to resolve contractor invoice queries
- Reconciliation of accounts and statements
- Support others within your team when required
**The skills you will need for the role are**:
**Highly effective communication skills** - you must listen well, ask good questions, build superb relationships, write clearly and talk with confidence, you need to have the ability to seek out information and pass it on appropriately throughout the business
**Efficient organisation** - you will need to work quickly and accurately with a strong eye for detail, so that your customers always get a good high quality service
**Efficient time management **- to be able to manage your own workload through effective time management with an ability to critically analyse your own performance
**Confident and capable IT skills** - you will be using Microsoft Office, you need to have a good level of competence, being able to operate with confidence and without supervision. You must be able to present information quickly and clearly having the ability to use all the basic functions well
**Application** - There are routine elements which require accurate data input and focus on this is essential
**Partnership Builder -** To be creative, focused and close to our suppliers driving excellence through strong relationships
**Strong organisational skills, to be able to balance your own workload - **you should be able to prioritise tasks to ensure the business can continue to function on a day-to-day basis
**You will have**:
Previous experience in a purchase ledger role, preferably in a high-volume environment.
Grade C in Math’s & English GCSE.
Basic IT skills, being able to use Word and Excel.
**You may also have**:
Experience working with Sage 200
