HR Assistant

**Responsibilities**
- Work together with our internal recruiters to ensure that the process from CV approval to interview goes as smoothly as possible.
- Inputting absence information from return-to-work forms and fit notes, and ensuring that all information is sent to payroll.
- Produce monthly HR metrics by the 5th of the month, including absence statistics, staff turnover statistics, and a retention report.
- Check to see if job descriptions and person specifications have been updated.
- Attend interviews to provide assistance for the service when necessary.
- Produce offer letters and related documents, ensuring that all necessary recruiting checks are completed, including gaps in employment, eligibility to live and work in the United Kingdom, satisfactory references, and a DBS check.
- Once all inspections have been completed, coordinate start dates for new personnel and produce necessary documentation.
- Producing HR staff files in accordance with industry standards and ensuring that records are kept up to date and filed according to routine
- Maintaining and updating the HR database and the establishment list in accordance with any contract changes or new starters/leavers is your responsibility.
- Note taker for Disciplinary/Grievances and other Management meetings as needed. Type correspondence and other material as needed for the Senior Management team.
- When needed, assist the HR Manager with project activities.
**Skills/Experience**
- CIPD Foundation Level 3 or above, or working towards it
- To achieve tight deadlines, you must be able to prioritise your workload.
- Detail-oriented and well-organised communicator (both verbal and written).
