Operating Department Practitioner/ Anaesthetic

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our operating theatres at the Princess Anne Hospital. We are actively looking for an Anaesthetic Practitioners/Anaesthetic Nurses to join our UHS family with vacancies covering our Neonates and Adult theatre services.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as appropriate training will be given to support the applicant during their induction period.
Dual roles with scrub experience would also be welcomed.
Division C, based over at Princess Anne Hospital is a friendly unit with 4 theatres which provide 24/7 emergency services for obstetrics and gynaecology cases. Elective services cover obstetrics, gynaecology-oncology and breast surgery including reconstruction.
There is also an attached but separate recovery and day surgery unit which has 6 recovery beds and 15 day surgery beds which are open from 7:30 am - 10pm.

Your Responsibilities
What you will do
As a Theatre practitioner, you will plan, deliver and evaluate individualised patient-centred care within the theatre suite
You will provide skilled assistance in one or more core areas (Scrub, Anaesthetics, or Recovery) to the level of core competencies.
You will be responsible for minimising the health and safety risk to patients, visitors and all members of staff.
You will ensure effective utilisation of time and resources whilst maintaining quality.

Willingness to be involved in teaching, supporting, and mentoring for all grades of staff
