Jonsigns Ltd is one of the UK’s leading sign manufacturers, recognised for delivering high-quality, bespoke signage nationwide. We are expanding our in-house manufacturing team and are looking for an experienced **Metal Fabricator / Sign Maker** to join our busy Gateshead workshop.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with a passion for precision metalwork to be part of a growing and successful business.

**The Role**

As a Metal Fabricator, you will play a key role in producing high-quality signage and lettering. Working with aluminium, steel and stainless steel, you’ll use a range of fabrication techniques, welding skills, and metalworking equipment to deliver projects on time and to specification.

**Main duties include**:

- Fabricating and welding signage components to a high standard
- Working with aluminium, steel and stainless steel
- Using guillotines, brake presses, bending machines and other equipment
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and job sheets
- Carrying out grinding, dressing, stud welding, and finishing work
- Assisting with multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

**What We’re Looking For**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sheet metal or fabrication
- Skilled in TIG & MIG welding
- Ability to read and work from detailed drawings
- Experience in sign making (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Organised, with the ability to work to deadlines
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Effective communication skills and a team-player attitude
