Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and welding, with the ability to assemble and fabricate components using various materials. The Plater will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards while working on diverse projects.

Duties

  • Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
  • Fabricate and tack assemblies according to specifications and drawings.
  • Have an understanding of working with WPS
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in metal fabrication and supporting qualifications
  • Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Experience with TIG process advantageous.
  • Ability to assemble components accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations are required.
  • A commitment to safety practices in a workshop environment is crucial.
