Salary £21,333.00 Annual (Prorated to £12,799.80)

**22.5 hours per week - Shifts**: Wednesday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.

Right now we are looking for a Theatre Bookings Co-ordinator to join our team.

About the Team

The Theatre Bookings team play a critical part in ensuring the patient journey is a smooth one. Carefully co-ordinating and arranging the patient’s admission along with the relevant Pre-operative assessments required and booking the surgery itself.

About the Role

The post holder will be responsible for delivering and ensuring professional customer service whilst maintaining operational standards. Working in our small but busy Theatre Bookings team, on a day-to-day basis you will ensure the smooth running of the Bookings Office processing patient’s theatre bookings onto our in-house system, working closely with our Pre-Assessment Team to arrange and book any relevant pre-operative appointments. You will help the team co-ordinate the theatre diaries for both The Vale Hospital and the Cardiff Bay Hospital. You will also help with answering calls and dealing with patient enquiries over the telephone and in person as well as liaising with Consultants and medical secretaries on a daily basis.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills. You will need to be approachable, personable and able to adapt to different situations, always keen to delight patients and improve their experience. You will be an energetic team player with great organisation skills and an eye for detail. You will liaise with all key departments across the Vale Hospital and the Cardiff Bay Hospital, ensuring a proactive approach to day-to-day activities
