**Role**:Service Coordinator**

**Salary**: £31,900** **per annum

**Location**: Truro, Cornwall

**Contract/Hours**:Permanent, Full-Time - 37 hours a week

Action for Children Kernow Connect provides universal, targeted and specialist support services for young people aged 11-19 and up to the age of 25, for young people with a special educational need or disability. Our services support young people across the County of Cornwall. Kernow Connect is a commissioned service funded by Cornwall Council.

**Universal Offer**:

- Place based youth groups, detached youth work, school drop in's, events, and holiday activities.

**Targeted Offer**:

- 1:1 needs led support, school-based interventions, and issue-based group work.

**Specialist Offer**:

- SEND participation work, low intensity cognitive behaviour therapy and counselling.

You will have experience of leadership and management within youth services and bring theory and knowledge learnt ideally through a JNC recognised youth work qualification to your role.

**You **will** make a difference by**:

- Developing a needs led, equitable, universal offer of services across the County of Cornwall.
- Providing a high-quality service to young people in line with regulatory requirements. Considering operational and strategic planning and the deployment of resources.
- Nurturing, developing, and promoting effective relationships and channels of communication with colleagues, community organisations, partner agencies, commissioners, and other external bodies.
- Working closely with senior staff and managers to review and evaluate service provision, ensuring continued improvements are made, driving innovation and business development, for an assigned area of work.
- Participating, chairing, facilitating, and leading of relevant service and multiagency meetings.
- Coordinate a delegated budget to ensure efficient usage and reporting, in accordance with agreed procedures.
- Delivering a safe and positive work and service environment through compliance with all safeguarding, safer recruitment, health and safety policy and procedure.
- Producing and presenting analytical and written reports, using data and other sources to evidence and improve performance and service delivery in line with key performance indicators.

**You **will** need**:

- A youth work qualification (desirable).
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in a leadership/management role in youth services.
- Significant post qualification experience of working with young people.
- Experience of working in fast paced, ever-changing environment, whilst demonstrating the ability to be an inspiring role model.
- Access to a suitable method of transport to enable the duties of the role to be carried out.
