**JOB** PURPOSE**

To provide support to the management of the business by maintaining accurate accounting records in respect of the Group and to assist with the Group’s annual budgeting process. All tasks to be carried out efficiently and effectively, in accordance with Walkers' procedures. To assist in the day to day running of the Finance function for the region working alongside the Finance Manager, Head of Finance and Managing Partner.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Daily capture of supplier invoices and bank transactions
- Ensure all invoices are correctly addressed and appropriately approved in accordance with budgets
- Monthly nominal ledger reconciliations
- Set up of monthly payment batches, standing order and direct debits
- Analysis and capture of credit card transactions
- Assist with production of the monthly billing cycle
- Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager
- Maintain a structured filing system
- Maintain and update procedural documentation accordingly
- Responding to all queries in respect of the above

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**

Previous experience desirable. Preferably working toward a professional qualification or wishes to work towards a professional qualification. Time barred accountants considered.

**IT SKILLS**

**Essential**:Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite of products 2010

**Desirable**: Aderant

**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**

Ability and willingness to occasionally work outside normal working hours/days when requested.
