**Job purpose**

To be responsible for developing and growing digital ticketing channels and migrating customers from conventional ticket channels to innovative Smart media and APPs to self - serve.

**Key success criteria (Expected Outcomes)**
- Year on year growth in uptake of Smart media and APPs (self - serve) versus Ticket Offices and Ticket Vending Machines.
- Roll out of additional smart ticketing products and APPs services to migrate customers to self - serve and improve the ticket purchasing experience, so it is seamless for our customers.
- Improvement of Smart media ticketing, end to end systems reliability and improved user experience
- Interoperability of service offering with other ToCs

**Key results area (How those Expected Outcomes will be achieved)**
- Working with RDG, DfT and Go-Ahead Group and external partnerships to deliver a series of value adding projects
- Assist the development of the Retail Strategy, setting realistic but stretching targets that will help to ensure GTR remains the industry lead for smart media ticketing
- Working across supplier base to rationalise and streamline processes, reduce inefficiency and complexity and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure that there is a joined up approach to channel shift which supports other initiatives and workstreams across the business
- Work with the Pricing team to ensure that any revenue generative opportunities are developed, we do not expose the business to revenue losses
- Challenge the norm - smart ticketing opens up opportunities for new approaches to fares and ticketing

**Dimensions**
- Working closely with the Commercial Dept, Pricing team, Retail Operations Manager, Head of Marketing and Head of Customer experience to deliver business objectives and improve the customer ticketing experience
- Working with Go Ahead Group and external suppliers to define and deliver projects
- Engage with other TOCs through ATOC committees and on a bi-lateral basis to ensure GTR objectives are delivered

**Knowledge**
- Educated to degree standard or have a recognised relevant alternative qualification or equivalent in skills and experience.
- Understanding of Franchise Agreement, Fares Regulation and industry pricing arrangements.
- Knowledge of the Ticketing & Settlement Agreement
- Knowledge of the National Conditions of Travel
- Familiar with the distribution chain
- Detailed understanding of Smart media technology (ITSO/Barcode ticketing) as well as other retail systems and APPs

**Skills**
- Innovative and blue sky thinking with the ability to manage from concept to implementation
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills are essential
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Excellent project management, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Able to work to multiple deadlines, multi task and prioritise
- Developing team members and succession planning
