**Job description**:
Key Duties:

- To review claim notifications in accordance with policy wordings
- To obtain and verify information enabling a valid claim to be correctly recorded
- To pro-actively handle the claim to conclusion while managing expectations or repudiating if required
- To provide comprehensive verbal and written advice on all aspects of policy wording in relation to cover and claims
- To adhere to all agreed service level agreements and internal claims processes
- To share best practice with team members and liaise with other departments including Underwriting, Survey and Technical

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

- 5 GCSE’s grade C or above (including English and Maths) or equivalent NVQ or
- experience
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive data
- Experience of working in a busy office environment
- Strong customer focus
- Advanced keyboard skills
- Excellent communication skills

Requirements of role:

- Excellent customer service and communication skills required as the role will involve working with homeowners, professionals and colleagues to ensure a claim is valid.
- Must be organised with ability to work under pressure, pro-actively manage expectations, meet timescales and deliver correct decisions.
- Strong negotiation skills are essential with ability to use own initiative while working in a team and liaising with other internal departments.
