This is an exciting opportunity to join the successful and friendly Faculty of Art & Design. Successful
applicants are likely to have had experience of working with a range of learners with varied
educational backgrounds and must be committed to giving students an outstanding educational
experience.

Situated in a purpose built building The Centre for Creative Industries, the Faculty predominantly
these including UAL Level 2 Diploma, A Levels, UAL Level 3 Diploma, UAL Foundation Diploma and
Access to HE. The faculty actively listens to its learners, and we have very positive learner feedback.

The technician team working within the faculty are pivotal to ensuring that students are able to
realise their creativity through the safe use equipment that is fit for purpose. The person in the role
will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of our 3D workshop, print room, ceramic
workshop and supporting the faculty in their preparation and delivery of teaching. The person in the
role will be based in the 3D/ machinery workshop and should feel confident overseeing this area. As
a technical demonstrator you should enjoy working with young people. You will oversee a small
highly skilled team of Technical Facilitators in meeting the needs of the faculty.

from using a 3D printer, use of woodwork machinery to print making and ceramics. Training will be
techniques but with a particular focus in the 3D Art & Design including use of a CAD/CAM Software,
3D printers, use of wood working machinery and ability to interpret visual concepts into 3D objects.
