**Role**: Senior Game Designer

**Location**: Liverpool or Remote (UK)

**Duration**: Permanent

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Game Designer to join our growing team. The successful Senior Game Designer will have the opportunity to join a dynamic and creative team working on exciting AAA games that will shape the future of game development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and develop game mechanics to meet the project’s goals
- Collaborate with other designers and the leadership team to ensure the game’s vision is met
- Balance and tune game mechanics to ensure the game is fun, challenging and rewarding
- Work with other departments to ensure the game meets the technical requirements
- Design and implement new features and content to keep the game up to date
- Analyse feedback and data to ensure the game is optimised

**Technical Skills**:

- Extensive experience in game design in the games industry
- Proficiency with game engines such as Unreal or Unity
- Knowledge of game balancing, tuning and optimisation
- Experience with scripting and coding
- Creative problem solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to work in a team and independently

**Desired experience**:

- Game Scripting experience
- Game Systems Design & Balancing
- Competitive Multiplayer Design Experience

**Important**

The interview process for the Senior Designer role is made up of 3 stages:

- First interview (45 minutes) - An informal chat to discuss your experience and working history relating to the position with members of our Design team. In return, we will provide a full overview of the role, life at the studio as well as answer any questions you may have.
- Second interview (45 minutes) - Second Interview with our our Studio Creative Director and Studio Design Director. This role will be focussed on the project and your skills and experience. You will have the opportunity to understand how our design teams work and the overall structure of our teams.
- Final interview (30 minutes) - A final Interview with our Studio Head and Studio Production Director. This will be a chance for you to get to know the Senior Management team and all the things that make Lucid, Lucid You will have a lot of opportunities to ask any questions about the studio and Culture.
