Service Desk Advisor (Shift working)
- West Yorkshire
- 12-hour shifts - 4 days on, 4 rest days 4 nights on (7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am) shifts include bank holidays
As the Service Desk Advisor, you will be the point of telephone contact for West Yorkshire Police Service Desk issues covering 3 sites in West Yorkshire. You will answer, log, input and allocate service requests accurately and in a timely manner and direct the appropriate personnel to undertake the tasks. Staff will be expected to make decisions regarding service delivery. Where conflicting priorities arise, you will need to assess the task and direct staff appropriately within set guild lines and protocols. In addition, you will monitor and update all service desk requests and take appropriate action to prevent non-compliant incidents with policies and procedures.
The Service Desk Advisor will liaise with subcontractors and report system and equipment faults to the appropriate personnel. You will demonstrate a clear and effective alignment with the operational objectives and the commercial interests of MFM as well as carrying out general duties when required.
To be successful in this position, you will have excellent customer service skills, a high standard of customer awareness and able to assess and prioritise work. Good listening skills are essential as well as a confident telephone manner and good keyboard skills. A helpdesk / customer service background would be desirable, as would a full UK Driving Licence.
