We looking to hire a dynamic Care Coordinator to join our expanding team covering Knowsley. Our office is based in Rainhill.
Job Overview: To support the delivery of the highest quality care services in line with Quartz Care’s Ethos and Values. You will be responsible for line managing care workers, business development, service improvement business growth, managing rotas and carrying out duties of the field care supervisor when required. You will need to provide leadership to the care staff within Quartz Care, being a positive influence and leading by example. You will maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain practices as up to date. Support staff health and wellbeing.
Working Hours - 0830 - 1700 Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be required to deliver on the job training with care staff, complete care worker assessments, provide support to care staff carry out risk assessments and care plans, to ensure the service is safe or to cover care visits. You will also be required to take part in the on call rota as directed by your manager which will include evening and weekend work. This currently consists of one night per week and every third weekend.
**Role Specific Duties**:
- Line manage, motivate, and supervise Care Workers
- Work in line with Quartz Care’s ethos and values
- Organise and coordinate weekly, rotas and Care Services
- Ensure that the care worker rotas are organised, taking into account travel time and routes
- Ensure sufficient staffing levels
- Plan and allocate rotas to appropriate care workers, with regard for the particular needs of the individual and the skills and attributes of the worker
- Dealing with queries from clients and families in a calm and professional manner
- Carry out on-call coordinating and response duties outside normal office hours as agreed
- Grow the business delivery hours by picking up new packages of care and working with the council to ensure a safe start date for each new service user
- Ensure Service Users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
- Develop effective working relationships with other employees within Quartz Care
- Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximize opportunities for Service Users
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
- Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by your manager
- Assist the manager in the compliance of the branch
- Take on the care worker role as and when needed at short notice
- Understand, demonstrate, and support person centred care
- Understand quality care and always strive for quality
- Focus on how things could be done better and assist in service improvement
- Improve outcomes for service users
- Carry out investigations
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
