Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce that we are working exclusively on behalf of a long established subsea trenching organisation to recruit a RAMS Engineer on a permanent basis.

**Title**:RAMS Engineer

**LOCATION**: Blyth

**SALARY**:£35,000 - £45,000 pa

**LENGTH OF CONTRACT**:Permanent

**ROLE SUMMARY**:
**DUTIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Develop processes for Reliability Management incorporating Fault Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) applicable to all company Assets.
- Manage the Equipment Fault Reporting Process, inputting the data into the FRACAS system, undertaking fault investigations, and establishing route causes and corrective actions.
- Liaising with the Assets team, Offshore Equipment Team, Base Technicians and Procurement on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the FRACAS objectives are achieved.
- Managing the implementation of corrective actions and report on equipment uptime improvements.
- Provide monthly performance reporting on asset reliability, failure, cost analysis and corrective action implementation as a measurable Key Performance Indicator for the business.
- Work with the Offshore team, Equipment Engineers and Procurement to direct smart procurement based upon outputs from the FRACAS process.
- Working closely with the Project and Geosciences teams develop and own a process to manage Asset Consumables and proactively drive cost saving initiatives
- Lead failure mode investigations through to resolution of root cause failures (equipment, people, processes etc.).
- Actively manage component obsolescence and identify alternate solutions.
- Undertaking statistical analysis which can be interpreted and applied to planned maintenance decision making.
- Act as key point of contact in asset procurement in respect of driving common component and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) usage to reduces DO overhead in managing a broad supply chain and enhance supply chain flexibility.
- Assist the Asset Dept. buyer to identify and monitor suppliers and third party contractors in relation to component specification, reliability, deliverability, supportability, quality and costs.
- Allocation of work scopes to the ILS and Junior/graduate engineers within the department

**TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE**:

- Demonstrable experience as a RAMS Engineer or Reliability Engineer
- Electrical, Hydraulic or Mechanical qualification (Minimum HNC or Equivalent).
- Extensive engineering and fault finding experience, preferably gained in a subsea environment.
- Experience coordinating technically complex issues with multiple stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge in mechanical, electrical, controls, IT and hydraulic systems and components.
- Ability to communicate technical recommendations and solutions at all levels.
- Systems, ILS or Reliability Engineering background within the Aerospace, Nuclear, Oil and Gas or preferably in a subsea related environment.
- Highly proficient in the use of data software packages such as excel and access.
