We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate with an interest in diabetes, for secondment to a Band 5 post, which will oversee the development of of a new virtual resource, to facilitate very low calorie diet (VLCD) as a treatment option for people with Type 2 diabetes.

You would be working closely with the Service Lead diabetes dietitian and a Consultant diabetes nurse on this project. The role will also have close liaison with our diabetes teams and primary care service across North Wales. Full training would be provided. You will be part of a North Wales wide service of over 90 dietitians and dietetic assistants, with admin support. You would have regular supervision and annual appraisals, to help identify your development needs, with in house and external CPD opportunities supported. This is an exciting time to join the dietetic service in North Wales as it is growing and vibrant. We look forward to welcoming you on to the team.

**The main duties of the post would be**:

- Supporting developing of the programme, and establishing the use of technology potential, with expert external providers to produce an effective resource.
- Co-produce the programme components by testing with patients, and colleagues
- Have responsibility for setting up and booking the test programmes
- Working with the app developers
- Delivering some sessions once training was given to support development of a structured, quality assured training programme
- Collecting data and supporting data analysis, presenting outcomes as requested within scope of role.
- Liaising with and providing support to diabetes dietitians.

This post is fixed term for 8 months to meet the needs of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
