Creating this single integrated operating base is to ensure that the Royal Navy can deliver its operational commitments across all Defence Lines of Development from Scotland on an enduring basis. To support this transition and future operations, HMNB Clyde is undergoing a high value programme of infrastructure development (>£1Bn over the next decade.) The Project Delivery Sponsor role is part of a small Navy Command team supporting delivery of the Clyde Infrastructure Programme and Major Projects Programme delivering the infrastructure solutions to develop HMNB Clyde as the Submarine Centre of Specialisation. This presents an excellent opportunity for commencing and developing an exciting and challenging career within the Civil Service and across a broad range of functions and numerous skill sets in direct support of output delivery. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. **Job description**: The Project Delivery Sponsor 2.1.1 is responsible to the Project Delivery Sponsor 2.1 and the Assistant Head of Infrastructure for the management and delivery of allocated infrastructure programmes and projects in accordance with Nuclear Authorisation Conditions (ACs) at HMNB Clyde. The Delivery Sponsor is the NBC Clyde interface and intelligent customer for allocated projects supporting the management and integration of the infrastructure delivery and collaborative engagement with all HMNB Clyde’s infrastructure delivery partners (including DIO and their Industry Partners). The post requires confident leadership skills and the ability to build and maintain an extensive network of stakeholders where collaboration is key to the success of delivering within an operational and regulated environment. The post holder must have the management skills to ensure that the Naval Base receives the required outcome from the programme of work aligned with the operational programme and that project arrangements are appropriate; compliant with site ACs and that risk is demonstrably As Low As Reasonably Practicable.
