**Contract**: Temporary, 24 Months

**Hours**: 28 - 35 hours per week

**Salary**: £25,219 - £28,372 (outside London) or £26,585 - £29,948 (London)

When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.

**The Role**

We want our processes to be the best they can be, for our supporters, workforce, and all the children and young people we support. The purpose of this role is to support teams across the charity to deliver and maintain impactful process improvements and to encourage and empower others to make process improvements independently.

The role will be diverse, with plenty of room to deepen and broaden your range of interests and aptitudes.

The Process Improvement Officer will be a member of the Project Management Office (PMO); the team lead the corporate planning process and provide project and process improvement support across the organisation. We work flexibly and are passionate about championing a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

As part of the Strategy & Governance directorate, you will be part of enabling change within Young Lives vs Cancer and will be developing your skills in promoting, championing and influencing change.

Young Lives vs Cancer is open to and in support of flexible working. We are currently defining our approach to hybrid working. Your flexibility requirements and that of the role will be discussed at interview stage with you. This role falls under the hybrid - variable category. This role is part home, part office/ site based (your contractual base will be both Home and either our Bristol or London Office). You will have the opportunity to work remotely / from home within the parameters of our hybrid working arrangements, with 1 or 2 days a week in the office.

**About You**

You’ll be positive and proactive, motivated by supporting others and making improvements, with a willingness and ability to overcome challenges to bring about positive change.

You will have experience of supporting process improvement initiatives, knowledge of continuous improvement frameworks and approaches and experience of research methods and impact evaluation.

You will have excellent problem solving and relationship development abilities as well as being good as navigating and communicating complicated issues.
