Activity Coordinator

Coral Ward is looking for an activity coordinator to join their super star team. These posts are ideal for psychology and nursing students, psychology graduates, people with life experience or those who really want to consider a career in caring. Qualifications and experience are not mandatory but compassion, sensitivity, warmth and the ability to be open with your thoughts and mindful of the impact you have on others are most definitely essential.
Your role will involve facilitating a diverse and recovery focused time table of activities alongside our service leaders. Here at Langley Green we ask our service leaders what they want from their admission and adapt the activity programme to support this alongside regular multi-professional input. Your role will be classed as 'outside of the clinical numbers'. Meaning you have autonomy within your role whilst working alongside a friendly and welcoming team.
To help our staff thrive in their roles we offer regular, good quality supervision, appraisals, in-depth training and development opportunities (such as nursing apprenticeships, care certificate training and specialist courses such as mindfulness and CBT). On the wards there is regular reflective practice, bitesize training sessions and team ‘huddles’, all with the focus to develop and support our staff.
To work within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate recreational, social and educational groups and individualised activities to the service leaders resident on Jade ward. To plan, promote and deliver delegated activities in accordance with the service users’ needs to meet goals identified in the individuals care and safety plan.
