**Job Description**:
**JOB PURPOSE**

**KEY OBJECTIVES**
- Deliver projects tasks to budget and timescales
- Identify risks, potential change controls and issues
- Understand and document business needs, mapping those to product and service configuration
- Advise customers on best practices based on product and service knowledge
- Configure systems via front end to support customer objectives
- Support customer acceptance testing and go live
- Identify opportunities and leads to sell NEC solutions
- Map customer requirements back to software solutions, highlighting benefits and best practices that will meet desired outcomes
- Incorporate into processes third party, service and NEC integrations utilising knowledge to support outcomes
- Support the production of appropriate financial controls and processes. These include but are not limited to: billing; acceptance certificates; expenses control; expense recharging; forecasting;
- Support the production of quotes that reflect risk, sales input and business objectives

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for the delivery of allocated project tasks to budget and timescales within the bounds of the contract commitment
- Responsible for ensuring that project task overruns are highlight in advance to project owners to gain approval with clear justification
- Responsible for picking up and learning new elements of the solution and producing\enhancing relevant elements of the delivery process
- Responsible for working with a customer’s IT team, third parties or other NEC teams to ensure work is carried out in line with NEC and local security, DR and BC policies
- Responsible for using relevant templates or create new ones to produce professional, edited, high quality documentation as required to support a project and/or NEC solutions
- Responsible for building business cases to support the greater use and adoption of NEC products, particularly document solutions
- Support management reports on projects task status, budget and timescales by providing feedback as directed
- Maintain and develop a good all-round understanding of associated NEC product offerings such as Environment and Planning, Housing and Revenues & Benefits
- Where required, support sales process for tenders and demonstration
- Where directed mentor and train other staff

**GENERAL**
- The role is home based but will involve extended travelling time and overnight stays to satisfy customer engagement and internal meetings
- It is expected that additional/out of hours working is necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role and meet our business objectives. This may include evening and weekend work which will be agreed with you and balanced across the team. Compensation either financial or time of in lieu will be agreed on a case-by-case basis

**Qualifications**:
**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, presentation and demonstrations
- Experience of building positive customer relationships
- Experience of using NEC Document Management
- Experience of configuring and understanding EDM products
- Experience of implementing software solutions in UK Local Government at various levels of scale
- Experience of collecting and mapping business requirements and configuring software to meet those needs
- Experience of supporting customer business improvements
- An understanding UK Local Government and how EDM systems will be used alongside ‘line of business’ systems

**DESIRABLE SKILLS**
- Use of Kimble or a similar system for financial and project management of projects
