We are looking to appoint a Cancer Waiting Times Trainer to join our Cancer Transformation Programme on a secondment or fixed term basis for 12 months.

You will be a key member of the Cancer Services Team and will be responsible for training new staff members within Cancer Services. This will include training on Somerset Cancer Registry and the 3 main datasets that are required to be recorded. You will be responsible for making sure users of Somerset fully understand the Cancer Waiting Times guidance. You will also be responsible for training all new users of Somerset from wider in the trust.

The ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the organisation is essential.

**Post Summary**

The post holder will be part of a trust wide Cancer Improvement Programme
- The post holder will work within the Cancer Services and across the trust, to deliver training that will assist in the delivery of cancer standards.
- Their main role will be to design and deliver bespoke training packages that will support colleagues to understand the Cancer Waiting Times guidance and constitutional targets surrounding cancer.
- The Trainer will maintain an awareness and understanding of optimal cancer pathways and raise the profile of these within the trust, and ensure easy access to training where required.
